OH Man this is GREAT

Valentine's day went great this year. Hubby and I decided not to exchange gifts because we felt we needed nothing!!!! Besides, I got a dozen red roses a couple of weeks ago. We did however purchase one of these:

A memory Foam mattress topper!!!! Our bed is a good quality bed, wasn't cheap but we still cant' get it as comfortable as we want. So for Vday I decided our present would be one of these. I normally dont' want to get out of bed in the morning, but this morning I didn't even hear my alarm!!!! Yeh, its worth it. We just hope it last.

On to other news...Macey is still missing. tear So, we are pretty sure she ran a little too far from home and maybe something in the woods got the best of her. I can't even talk about it :( We just dont think someone would come up our drive and snatch her and not return her with an award offered! But, I am not giving up yet and I will not replace her yet. In a couple of months if still no Macey I will have to have another dog. It will never replace her, but maybe only bring me new joy.

A Birthday wish....my nephew Liam turned 2 yesterday. Man time flies. We will be celebrating his birthday this weekend:

So Happy 2nd Birthday Liam
We love you and can't wait to celebrate!!!

It's Valentine's Ya'll

This will be mine and Nate's 4th Valentines together. I can tell you every year where we were and what we did for gifts!
1st Year: I got Macey (who is still missing, we are thinking the worst) Macey was 8 weeks old and came running to me with a red rose in her mouth. tear tear We stayed home that night and made each other dinner.
2nd Year: Flowers and a card! This year we went out. Nothing real fancy but went out to eat just so I didn't have to clean up the kitchen!!!
3rd Year: We got an IPOD nano. We share it..he gets it 20% and me 80% (thats sharing right?) We love it...it makes us dance like crazy fools around the house! This year same story...we grilled and drank wine at the house!
4th Year: We decided not to get any gifts ( the budget), we dont need anything! We always get cards for each other and this year his National Wild Turkey Federation Banquet is that night. Now, dont be jealous!!! If anyone has a husband who likes to hunts more than life, you will understand how important these banquets are. Ok...so I am ok with it b/c we are going with good friends and its all you can drink! There I said it, otherwise I would probally be pissed.
So..my Valentine's days might not always be filled with mussy romance, but they are mine and I enjoy them. I enjoy the small things and the little things. I enjoy that we stay in and cook instead of fighting crowds. I enjoy that Nate saves money on roses that will die in 3 days (they are pretty though) . I enjoy that we can be ourselves together.
So Happy Valentine's day to you and yours...I wish you love and romance.
p.s. Next week is the purse post..I haven't forgot

My Interview!

My BFF Hannah sent me an interview and my orders were to answer the questions asap. If anyone else wants to play......
1. Send me and email..I pick the questions and email you back. Then post it on your blog for others to play and see.
THE INTERVIEW

1. If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?
If I were to win the lottery (lets say a lot)...I would first run around screaming and crying acting like a foul. Then I would invest..invest most of it to make sure I knew my limits. I would share with my family and some of my friends...big Christmas gifts:) I would give my two weeks notice at work, finish my degree faster, and start making plans for my dream home!!! I suppose I would take a small shopping spree too...with my besties!!!

2. If you could move to one place in the entire world, where would it be and why?
Gosh I don't want to move at all..really I love that I am so close to my family and friends! BUT if someone forced me to move I would go warm...south and beachy! I would also have to have my own plane to fly back and forth all the time.
3. What was the worst thing that's ever happened to you?
Having miscarriages....worst ever!

4. What is the best thing that has ever happened to you?
Being raised in the family that I was..having the friends I have to influence me. If I hadn't been raised the way I was and had the people around me that meant the most I would have never became the person I am...Second on that list was for sure my wedding day! Meeeting Nate was really a plan from God.

5. If you were stuck on a deserted island, and could only bring one person and one item, who and what would that be?
Easy...Nate and Wine..period! Man we would have a blast, he is a hunter so we could find food and we would be each others entertainment!
Ok, If anyone is interested let me know!!! Remember I get to pick the questions!

Still Not Home

I was asked to post a picture of Macey just to remind everyone how sweet she was!! Here are a couple of her best poses :) She is still not home, I just wish I knew what happened to her. I could make peace with it if I knew what happened. If she is not alive and I knew it, at least I could come to peace. I have heard stories of people finding their dogs after weeks...so there is still hope! Here is a picture incase anyone in the area runs across her!

aint she pretty?

I will be back later with a survery!

Dear Saint Anthony

Saint Anthony the patron of lost things. A friend blogger brought St. Anthony to my attention, and I can't believe I hadn't thought of it before. You are to pray to Saint Anthony to find lost things. Perfect...I know just what to pray

  • Dear St. Anthony, Please bring my dog home safe and sound. She is still missing and it breaks my heart to think that something has happened to her. I don't know what I would do if I loose her. She is young and has a lot of life left in her, besides...this was the dog me and hubby got together when we first started dating!

We went looking for Macey last night and found nothing. I hope she is bugging some random neighbor's dog and is just having so much fun she can't stand to come home right now. My mom is headed up to my house today to search for her as well!

  • Not sure if this was counts but its worth a try....Dear St. Anthony, we have lost our electric from the storm. We are still out of power going on 2 weeks. Please help the electricians find our broken lines and fix our power, I desperately need to vacuum my house!

Also a special prayer. My child hood dog Lance (also a yellow lab) is turning 13, but my mom found out yesterday that he has bone cancer and needs to be put down to ease his pain. This is hard..very hard for us! This was our childhood dog and we are all so attached. We have been crying for days! I will give a tribute to Lance later this week!

Random Ramblings

  • - Electricity is still OFF at our house, it is really messing with me now! I know they are working hard blah blah blah, but my dishes are piled to the ceiling and my nerves are shot.
  • - Last night the husband and I had a liquid supper. Rum and Orange juice, listening to music, talking....we had to do something to take the edge off. (seriously no meal at all...just liquid)
  • - I like that the husband and I can still act like kids with no worries. We both had hard days so we can drink, talk, sing and act crazy together! Having fun is very important for relationships I believe.
  • -I haven't seen my dog in 2 days (she often goes to our neighbors where she has a dog house, food and water and they love her so we don't usually worry, we call it her second home) BUT its cold and I miss her like crazy! I worry something is wrong. You can't keep a farm dog chained up and I never will, but I am worried!Say a prayer for Macey dog!
  • -Is it weird to pray for a dog??
  • - My mom and My second mom( my great aunt) did all mine and hubby's laundry. They are too good to me, so everything is clean and one less stress off my shoulders when the power does come on.
  • - My sister in law's mother is in town from the state of Washington. We are having a mother/daughter wine night with both our moms and us on Sunday!!! How exciting! I love that we all get along so so well. We will veg out and drink!
  • - Both my nephews have birthdays this month, one will be 2 and one will be 5, and I have no idea what to get either one of them?
  • - I bought heart cookie cutters to make Hubby's heart shaped pancakes on Valentine's morning !!!! (target:dollar aisle)
  • - I have not went anywhere all week on my lunch....this is the best way to save money for the BUDGET!! I am so proud of myself!

Get Ready

If you have been reading my blog for awhile you know that I am a big supporter of March of Dimes. This charity holds a special place in my heart. Every year I go beyond my means in raising more and more money to support March of Dimes...this year is no different. Today I am going to the kick off lunch for our local March of Dimes and I can't believe the time is here again to start raising money! Here is the story of why I started raising money for March of Dimes. (if you haven't read it, start with that story and then continue to the rest of my story) This year the March of Dimes means more to me than every before. After having two miscarriages myself, it touches a place in my heart that it hasnt' ever touched before. This year I will be not only raising money for premature babies but also in memory of babies that I have lost. Its hard to even write this without tears flowing from my eyes because it means that much to me.

The readers and mothers out there need to know that March of Dimes not only support premature babies but healthy babies as well. If you have had healthy babies or are carrying a healthy baby...March of Dimes has helped in this!

This year I have tricks up my shirt to break out, and I am excited about the challenge to raise more than $2500.00. Last year we reached our goal of $2000.00 and it felt good....this year we not only want to raise more money but to get more walkers present. Here is my personal page where you can keep up with my goals and achievements ....www.marchforbabies.org/kkyle.

So....all my blogging friends, I will keep you up to date on my progress and if any of you want to ever meet in person, by coming to the walk, I would love love love it!!!!! If anyone has a great passion for March For Babies like myself, I would love to hear your ideas!! We will be selling tee-shirts again and accepting any donations you are willing to give. Lets get together to save babies!!! Here is our first place team from last year!!!
