My best guy friend in the world is getting married this weekend and I have the honor of being a bridesmaid. His soon to be wife Lindsey, has came into our friendship and we just eat her up as well. I forgot about all the husle and busle that comes with being in a wedding. Maybe because I have been out of my element lately, but I guess I thought I would just show up and put on my dress....what was I thinking? Tonight is my last free night at home so I better tidy up that place I call home because it looks like a pack of wild dogs have taken over. Thursday I am trying the mystic tan...has anyone done this? I had no time to get any color before this wedding and since the dresses are black I need a little color. I need any advise to what is the best way to care for the mystic tan?? HELP! Thursday I am also getting my nails and toes done....oh this will be a fantastic way to start the weekend!!! Then of course Friday we have rehearsel dinner, hair and make up done on Saturday and finally the Paaarrrrtttyyyyy Saturday night!!! Woohoo. I just love wedding weekends!!!
I plan on taking tons of pictures so be ready!!!
So, if anyone of you lovely ladies can help me with this mystic tan I would just love it!!!

I've done the Mystic before. The color was good, but I have issues with smell. It was too perfum-y for my taste. And, you can't shower right away so I had a killer headache from its smell.
It could have changed since then, it's been about 3 years.
Good luck!
Hey, Kara...first of all, love reading your blog. Not only do I get to keep up with you, but I get glimpses into the family as well :)
As for the mystic tan...I do it a lot in the winter for holiday parties, etc...First, make sure that as soon as you step out from getting sprayed you towel off thoroughly. The last thing you want is streaks...back of legs and arms are the most common problem areas. I recommend going with the middle spray setting to make sure you look like you got a tan, but not make it look too fake as the higher levels can. You will want to leave it on for a good 4-6 hours before showering and yes, the smell is pretty awful. After that, you can shower normally and everything will be fine. Unfortunately, they don't seem to last as long as the companies claim they do so I would say make sure you go in on Thursday (you can shower so you won't have that terrible smell for rehearsal). OH, one more thing...the barrier cream. Make sure to slather it on your nail beds (fingers and toes) and any dry areas (elbows, achilles, etc...). The tan sticks to dry areas A LOT.
Hope that helps!
I've done the mystic tan several times. Just make sure you ask to watch the demonstration video. And lather up your fingers and toes with that barrier cream! Don't shower for at least 4 hours afterwards. Good luck!
