Finally Pictures

I took over 200 pictures BUT I wont show you all of them. Just a few of my favorites..which is hard to do.

Our Christmas started off with a daycare party. Tucker really enjoyed himself!!! He loved seeing all his friends while NOT actually being at school. (the host the party after hours so all parents can come)

Still NO smile, but he did actually WANT to sit on his lap.

Christmas eve we always start at church...its a GREAT feeling to kick off the holidays. Then its off to Gigi's and Popa's..(my parents house) to all night party

TOO many presents is a understatement...it was NUTS!

Christmas morning with bedhead and all!!!! He LOVED his jeep

Another one of his favorite toys is his guitar. This kid has a love for music(from me) and he is very very interested in making music. I have NO music talent so we are hoping Tucker does one day! Then its off to a full day of Christmas adventures!!!

Nathan has a very talented uncle and cousin and Tucker really admires their talent. He sits and plays his own guitar with them now...I am not kidding when I say he is very interested in music.

It was truly one of the BEST Christmas's EVER! I have so many more pictures but I will wait and bore you later!

Now its clean up time, and getting back in the flow of things. Right now new years looks like a dinner date for 3 and I couldn't be happier :)

Christmas...kinda

I don't have any great pictures to show you, but they are coming soon! Let me tell ya though.....this was one of the BEST Christmas's I have had!!! Not sure why?? They are all good, but for some reason I felt the spirit the whole weekend and relaxed and enjoyed myself. My house looks like a tornado went through it and I still dont' care. Maybe I will work on that next week? I am just enjoying what little bit I have to enjoy. Tucker was SUCH a happy boy all through the holidays...it was wonderful!
As soon as my nose gets out of one of my new presents

I will be sure to update very soon!

I hope yours was just as great as mine...and I can't wait to see all the pictures and hear about all the celebrations :)

From me to YOU

I said I wasn't blogging this week and I am NOT. These are all pre-recorded (hehe) blogs.

I am busy making:

oreo balls

cake truffles

rollo cookies

chocolate dipped ritz

chocolate dipped pretzel sticks

cheese balls

buffalo chicken ranch dip

cheese balls again

sugar cookies

etc etc etc......

Do you think I over do it??? Nah...

AND wrapping last minute gifts

I am indulged in EVERY Christmas show on TV and lets not forget blaring Alan Jackson's Christmas CD.

Do you think I over do it.....??

Today is Tucker's first Christmas party at daycare, which is actually after school hours so all the parents can make it. Smart idea right????/

And that leaves me just enough time the rest of the week to finish up my baking/etc.

I will be back AFTER Christmas to sharing exciting stories and tell you all the wonderful memories that were made..

Do I sound like a Hallmark card??

ANYWAYS

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!

Traditions

Every family has traditions and mine is non the less! I thought Christmas was great before children, but having Tucker has only gotten me in the spirit more to keep traditions and start new traditions!!!!

MY Traditions

The week OF Christmas:
This is baking week. I have all my Christmas bought and wrapped and its time to make holiday goodies!!! On my list:
Oreo balls, sugar cookies, Chocolate Chex Mex, Snicker cookies and several others!
I also make cheese balls, buffalo chicken dip and a couple other things!

Christmas eve:
I cook all day and make my breakfast casserole for Christmas morning!
We start it off right with Church at 4. This is a beautiful mass and it makes your heart feel warm inside. Then its off to my parents. (5 mins away) We eat, open presents and watch the "Christmas Story" for 12 hours straight! We get two of the same presents every year...... PJ's to wear and a new board game! We then play games and drink coffee till wee hours of the morning!

Christmas morning:
We grab the video camera and wait for Santa. We eat breakfast casserole and enjoy our little family of 3 while watching the "Christmas Story" for another 12 hours! ha
Christmas day is spent with my in laws and their extended family. We enjoy a big lunch and big supper all the while opening more presents and spreading more cheer!

The day after Christmas:
I am lucky to enjoy soooo many Christmas parties with soooo many family members. We eat out with my grandpa and grandma and enjoy a White elephant Christmas after eating! This is a day of relaxing and soaking everything up that just happened the last two days. Its a busy time but a great time and always goes way to fast!

My favorties

I am doing ALL my Christmas post this week because next week I will NOT be blogging but taking time to reflect on the reason for the season, my family and baking! I think its important to take a break and soak it all in and I encourage you all to do the same. So lets play!

My favorites!

My favorite footwear in the winter is none other than UGG boots. I wear a pair every single day almost and sometimes I don't want to take them off to go to bed!
On any given day during winter you will see me dressed in UGGS and ALWAYS in a scarf. The rest of the outfit is optional but these two items are for keeping warm!!!!
Favorite movie you ask?....Well I love love all the Christmas Classics. Now that I have Tucker to introduce these movies too its even better! BUT my all time favorite holiday movie is ELF. I can't help it......it is laugh out loud funny. You either Love it or Hate it.
One of my favorite things about Christmas time is running home to check the mail box. I have always sent out Christmas cards and I know a lot of people aren't doing the same, but my tradition will NEVER change. I sent out around 60 this year (we have a BIG family). I love getting home and opening the mail and seeing who is spreading the joy as well!!!
Of course all my Christmas lights are burning in the evening time inside and out BUT its not complete without the burning of a holiday candle! Yankee candles have always been a favorite (I did work at Hallmark in college) and I have to have a Christmas scented one every single year!
And we can't forget about all the goodies that come with the holidays. Next week is what I call baking week. I make ALL my favorite holiday cookies and treats next week and I take a plate (or usually a bucket full) to every one's house we visit. Here is one of my favorite things to make and everyone looks forward to me bringing them! OREO balls!
And here is the recipe:
And Christmas wouldn't be complete without making a list and checking it twice!!! MY favorite spot to do most of my shopping is Target!!!! I love that store and don't know what I would do without :)
So what are your favorites???

The long weekend

To say we had a blast at the Colts game is an understatement!!! It was GREAT quality time with the husband I feel like I never get to talk to as well as a big WIN for the colts! It was an experience and we plan on going back to a game EVERY year. We hope we can just get some our friends to becoming football fanatics with us :)

I would like to tell you that I got to meet Peyton Manning...BUT I didnt'. This was as close as I got BUT its closer than I have ever been!

This was from our seats...a little zoomed in BUT we never had to watch the big screen to keep up with the game so we had GREAT seats!

The rest of the weekend was spent with snow, shopping, wrapping, baking, Christmas music, cuddling, chili and Christmas lights:)

Its getting sooooo close to the BEST holiday EVER!!!!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!

This is my first NFL game and ya'll know I am a HUGE football junky! We are tailgating early, watching the game and staying the night in Nashville. IF I am lucky maybe Nate will let me swing by the mall?? Either way I am hoping for a WIN....lord knows we need it right now!

Watch for me on TV....the NFL network Thursday night football:)

I am behind....

I am so behind on blogging. BUT thats because all my Christmas presents are wrapped, the house is fully decorated and we are sitting around drinking LOTS of spiced coffee.

Lets start off with last weekend. I threw my great Aunt a 60th birthday celebration! It was a suprise party and a GREAT one at that. Now, most people have aunts, some people have great aunts BUT nobody has the support, love, friendship and loyalty that I have with my great aunts. They are my second mothers and some of my best friends. SO when my best great aunt Donna turned 60 I knew we had to celebrate the right way! And we did....from 6pm to 2:30 in the morning. The food was beaming, the wine was flowing and the dance floor was hopping! YES I said dance floor. My mom's sunroom was a dance floor all night long. I laughed, I cried and laughed some more. BEST PARTY EVER!!!!!
The cake was beautiful!!!! This was ONLY her 2nd birthday cake of her entire 60 years....yep..soak that one in.
Another exciting post coming tomorrow!

A bit of cheer

So Tucker wasn't CRAZY about meeting Santa, but he was a good boy! This picture is on my Christmas card this year and I love IT! He never smiled for him but at least he sat. ENJOY

cyber monday

My holiday was GREAT! We ate, talked, drank coffee, drank wine, shopped (not early), hung outside Christmas lights and did all the thing you shall do on Thanksgiving weekend. We even got a parade in there somewhere as well as driving around looking at lights!
So today I shop some more. I am almost DONE with my Christmas shopping and so today I dont' have much time to blog....only time to shop

So..enlighten me...where are the good sales on this cyber monday?

a weeks worth of Thanksgiving

I couldn't be MORE excited that the holidays are upon us. I LOVE them all. Nate and I are lucky that our parents live 5 minutes from each other so we hit one house for lunch and one house for supper :) Last year Tucker was 2 weeks old at Thanksgiving....I can't even ponder that statement seriously. How has he grown so much?

awww....look how precious!

Monday: I am thankful for the new member of our family. Bear! Tucker and him have a love/hate relationship. But mostly its love. Tucker gets excited about him and wants to play with him, but when he is done playing he is DONE.....even when bear is not done. (thats just the puppy)

Tuesday: I am thankful for my car. It is big and comfy and gets me everywhere I need to go

Wednesday: I am thankful for my mom and grandma teaching me how to cook (well I try). I stay up late baking on Wednesday and getting everything prepared for Thanksgiving!!! Its one of my favorite things to do. I remember doing it as a little girl!

Thursday: I am thankful for a warm place to go, hot food and a great family to spend Thanksgiving with.

This is probably my last post this week. I am going to spend the rest of my week with family, watching the Thanksgiving day parade, shopping, enjoying the kids and watching the parade of lights in town on Sunday! Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Enjoy blackfriday if you go.....and eat till you POP!

Friday: I am thankful for shopping! I wont be headed out to fight the crazies on blackfriday, BUT shopping is one of my favorite things to d

Thursday, November 18, 2010

A weeks worth

Tuesday: I am thankful for Diet Mt. Dew!!!! Its the ONLY soda worth drinking :)

Wednesday: I am thankful for my cousins. Whether we see each other once a week or once every 6 months we pick up where we left off. So many memories of us growing up together :)

(My cousin Annah and Tucker)

Thursday: I am thankful for my cousins by marriage. Its amazing how much I enjoy these people and some of us have even grown very close!

(Dirnberger girls)

Friday: I am thankful God gave me a little boy first. I think he knew I couldn't handle hair bows at 7 in the morning. For example today is picture day at school. It took me 5 total minutes with diaper change to get Tucker ready for pictures:) NOW that is awesome!

Saturday: I am thankful for half day Fridays!!!!

Sunday: I am thankful for BIG homemade meals on Sundays. I love to cook on Sundays and NEVER leave the house all day long!

Thankfulness and christmas

This weekend I was motivated. I decorated the inside of my house for chritmas, cleaned and did all my laundrey. I am waiting to put the tree up until after Thanksgiving so Tucker and Nate can help. I also started my Christmas shopping. And by starting, I mean I bought 2 things. Hey its a start! The only problem is I have no idea what else to get?? Now I am stuck!

BUT just because the inside of my house says Chritmas I am not forgetting Thanksgiving!

Today I am thankful for HOT coffee (with cream and sugar)! I drink it day and night during winter months and it makes me a smile a little everytime :)

Nine pounds of JOY

Friday: I am THANKFUL for Tucker's daycare providers. They will be throwing him a birthday party today because....
TUCKER IS ONE TODAY!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to the LOVE OF MY LIFE. My light, my joy, the reason I get up at 3:30 in the mornings (unwanted)!

This time last year I was laying in the hospital room already for 10 hours. I had my water broke and I was working on an epidural. I continued to lay there till 3:00 when I went back for surgery. A 3:59 pm, I saw the prettiest baby in the world. I was still in shock that I was split open on a table so I am not sure what my reaction was, but Nate cried tears of JOY. I looked at his dark hair and thought "is that my kid b/c my kid wouldn't' have dark hair". Then I feel in LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!. He sure has changed my life for good.
Yesterday was a prime example: I stood up by best friend for a wine trip because I couldn't' stand the thought of taking him to daycare on my day off the day before his birthday. I wanted to soak up every minute with him because I knew on his actual bday I had to work. ( If your reading this, I will take you up on that offer Sunday, NOT standing up either). I battle with this a lot being a working mother. Guilt gets the best of me all the time, how do I change that??
Another example: I found really cute boots yesterday at TJ Maxx and I put them back because I found something for Tucker instead! Yep, that's love ladies!!!

So here's the baby who has changed me!!!

Saturday: I am thankful for "The wonder Pets". Sometimes Tucker needs alone time on the couch and I am thankful for cartoons to do this

Sunday: I am thankful for my church. I love it...everything about it!

Tuckers 1st of 1st bday parties

Tuesday: I am Thankful for a save trip to St.Louis ...I took that trip yesterday
Wednesday: I am Thankful for migraine medicine!!!! GOSH I use it a lot
Thursday: I am THANKFUL for VETERANS!!! I am also thankful I am off for Veterans day!!!

Now on to the Birthday Bash. First I will show you the decor. I was very proud of all the work that went into it. I had help, ideas from the girls at work but I did all the setting up and laying it out alone...since everyone was SICK!!!!
The theme was cowboy. My inlaws have a redone barn that we had it in. I mean this barn is AWESOME!!! It came equipped with a kitchen, tables and anything else we needed. We are very lucky to have such a NEAT place for parties!!!This was the table you saw when you walked in. It had the scrapbook I made, pictures of Tucker framed, goodie bags for kids, old Lanterns and other cowboy things. I was proud of this table!!!
Here are the tables. Some tables had cow spot table clothes and others red. Each table had a vase with cattails, bandannas and a bucket of peanuts! I also covered the chair bags with old potato sacks!!!
These were the WANTED signs with each kids name on them. We had 2 post in the middle of the room where I plastered them. The kids LOVED finding there names :)
Here a close up. Every kid had a different crime and reward!!!
The Grub. We served a chili bar along with other "outlaw" food. I labeled it all with outlaw detail too. Since it was Tucker's bday, I served his favorite snacks

Here is a banner...NOT made my be. Sorry, it was Etsy!

And here is the wonderful cake. It turned out very very CUTE.

There were more decor and action going on BUT remember I had a half way sick baby, no husband to help and it was a long night

Tomorrow I will post pics of Tucker at the party!

The 5 days from HELL.....

Here we go...are you ready for this. THIS weekend was supposed to be the MOST wonderful weekend of the year thus far. I had everything planned to a "T". Let me start with Wednesday.
Wednesday, got a call from daycare that Tucker was running a fever. I knew he would be soon because his ears were draining and he was snotty and coughing. So here we go to the doc. We got home and all settled and I thought I could get some house work done..hahah! Man I had no clue what was going to happen next. Wednesday night around 6..I am sick. Like on my death bed sick. Nate took care of Tucker and I.

Thursday. I was still sick so my mom and memaw came and took care of me and my baby (who is still sick). They cleaned, they cooked and I thought man I have it made.

Friday. Tucker is still sick but we thought he was over the hump. I was feeling much better and had TONS of running(with Tucker throwing up in the backseat) to do for the party Saturday.

Saturday. Woke up after 3 hours of sleep because we got Tucker a new puppy for his bday that whined and howled all night. Nate was SICK. Sicker than a dog. There was too much for me to do to process Nate being sick, so I continued on with my day. After picking up my cake from the cake lady, who god love her dropped my 2 dozen cookies after walking out the door I was almost heading home for the party. I ordered more cookies and THEN headed home. Got a phone call from my mom and my memaw that they were always sick with the bug. Got home and realized that Nate was of no good use. He had the bug. The problem?? Well he was the food maker that day. So after my mother in law and dad volunteered to make the rest of the food I thought we were on our way to the party. WRONG. Tucker got a HORRIBLE rash, reaction to the meds he was on under his diaper and was miserable. So here we head to the party all decorated and waiting for fun times only to find out that NATE can't get off the couch to come, my mom and grandma were in the same boat and Tucker was still miserable from the rash.
We ate cake, opened gifts and Tucker cried and whined and wanted held all during the party.
We got home around 8 and I lost it. I cried myself to sleep. I wanted this perfect party and none of it happened.

Sunday. My father in law and sister in law are now sick. Along with a couple friends. Tucker is feeling better and so is Nate and the rest of the bug crew. Its all over with.

BUT we are having a second party soon. One with daddy, gigi, memaw and several other cousins and aunts and uncles. Tucker deserves it, Nate deserves it and I deserve it. I will be bringing wine.

Today I am THANKFUL that we have a new dog. Yes I think we are nuts for getting it and yes it will drive me crazy but when it snuggled with me Saturday night when I was upset about the WHOLE party and situation. When my other boys were sick, I still had the dog.

I DO have some great pics..I will post soon :)

Thankful and the BUG

Lets see...
Thursday the 4th: I am thankful for a GREAT daycare that takes care and LOVES Tucker as their own. They are great to him and he loves going there each day. Sometimes he cries when I PICK him up. Seriously. I am very very thankful for those loving women!!!!

Friday the 5th: I am thankful for not throwing my guts up.

Yep, my house (well just me) was hit by the stomach bug. Its the worst feeling ever. Today I am about 70% better, hoping for a full recovery in time for Tucker's bday party tomorrow! Tucker has sore throat, ear ache and so on...he is on meds and I PRAYING he is fully recovered to enjoy his party tomorrow....

Lord help us make it through this weekend...the end

Thankfull Nov. 3rd

Today I am Thankful for my job. Every job has ups and downs but luckily mine is way more ups. I have a support group, friends and just generally great people I work with. I am lucky to have a job with this economy none the less a great job.
I work in a small office, the less the better in my book, so there is no drama or haters. So I am very thankful that I have this job (sometimes I want to be home more with Tucker, but he also needs shoes and clothes so I continue to work :)

Thankfulness....

Ever day in November I am going to write why I am thankful. There are many reasons and sometimes I need to remind myself that I have it good....very good!! Even if you dont' write it down, I encourage everyone to think of something each DAY they are thankful for. I could list 100 reasons but I will stick to 30. When I am having a crazy day, I have to remember how good I have it!!! I am two days behind already (hey, I am planning a bday party)

Nov 1st: I am thankful for my husband, my best friend and Tucker's wonderful father. Marriage isn't easy, its not all roses and bubble baths like I had dreamed of. But its worth it (for the most part). Nate evens me out, forgets my worst and loves my best. I am thankful for him!!!

Nov 2nd: I am SOOOO Thankful for my healthy, crazy, stubborn, lovable, adorable little almost one year old. I could write a book on him, but I will just say he is the reason I breath. Tucker has changed me for the better and I am THANK GOD for him daily.

(I have adorable Halloween pics that I will post soon)

updates

Tucker's birthday outfit came in the mail yesterday......Wrangler, belt buckle and cowboy boots. I have NEVER seen such a cute butt in wranglers until yesterday. I think I am planning more for his first birthday than I did for my wedding. There isn't a lot of work, just a lot of thinking and planning!!!

I am VERY excited about Halloween!!! Having a little one makes all the holidays a bit more fun I do believe! He is such a CUTE little lion :)

7 more paychecks till Christmas...can u believe it??? That means I need to start buying now but fresh outta ideas. However, I already have my Christmas cards picked out. AND I saw my Christmas tree in the shed yesterday and thought about the battle it will bring. There will be a lot of NO's, Don't touch that, leave that alone, OMG Tucker just pulled down the tree. Yep I can see it now.

Charlie Brown's Pumpkin show comes one tonight and I am WAY more excited than I should be.

Its finally fall here..and I LOVE it

Monday, October 25, 2010

pumpkin heads!!!

Sunday we CELEBRATED that my niece Kailee is HOME and doing well!!! Prayers work....she is proof of that. So Thanks to all who said a prayer!!! She has new hips and they are fabulous!!!

Sunday we also went to the pumpkin patch on the windiest day of the year. We had sand all over us, in our eyes, shoes etc. Tucker is snotty and coughing so combine the 2 and it wasn't our most glorious trip. OH well, he enjoyed it. This was the only day left to take him so sick or not we were headed for pumpkins!!!!

We have a first bday party in 2 weeks and I am freaking OUT!!! I have almost everything planned and ready, but my baby is not a "baby" anymore.

Updates from Everywhere

First and MOST important my niece Kailee J is still needing prayers. Surgery was a success now we need her lungs to clear and heal and her pain to go away!!!!! I believe in prayer, I have seen and felt it work so we are asking for her to be pain free. NO 6 year old needs to feel pain, so this tough little girl needs prayers. WE are hoping she gets moved to a regular room soon and maybe released sooner than later. I think most people heal better at home??? Who wants to be in a hospital anyways.

On another note......I haven't started Tucker's scrapbook that needs to be done in 2 weeks. So now I am 11 months behind. I see a lot of late nights in my future. BUT I think I am 2 steps ahead in the birthday planning. I have been playing with cattails, potato sacks, and hay lately. Can't wait to show you the outcome!!!!

And another note....when Tucker is a well baby, he is the best baby you could ask for. BUT apparently Tucker cuts teeth every month. So, right now we are dealing with sleeping any way possible, the couch, the recliner, our bed, whatever makes him sleep. He is up every 2-3 hours whining in pain. What do you do??? You know he is hurting so I just do whatever makes him and me get as much sleep as possible. The thing is when he is not hurting and well, he sleeps all night in his bed like he is supposed to. So, we are hoping and PRAYING Tucker's teeth come in soon so mom doesn't look like a walking rag doll at work all day.!!!!!

Here's to a good weekend....more than 3 hours of sleep at a time, Kailee J feeling like herself and maybe a pumpkin patch :)

My niece

Always knew that my niece kailee was one of a kind. Yesterday she had double hip surgery. It is compared to me and you having a total hip replacement ...2 at a time! She flew through surgery and did soooo good. Right now she is in pain, we think, and not breathing like she should so they have her in ICU. I keep praying! She is strong and a fighter (always has been) so I KNOW she will pull through just fine.
Just from me...I think she is pissed that she can't move her legs. Yep, she is a very determined little girl and it is making her mad that they have her tied down!
So keep her in your prayers, and keep her mom and dad in your prayers! The doc praised mom and dad yesterday for Kailee being such a healthy little girl.....God gives you what you need and Kailee has the best parents in the world. (way to go Bro and SIL)!!!

Every Year

Every year I post the same post on October 15th. Every year it still holds close to my heart.

Today is infant loss day....remember those who have! I remember my two miscarriages today like I do everyday. I rememeber all the others who have lost. I ALSO remember those who still haven't held a baby

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Just checking in....

Last time I checked I was still breathing....however, yall might not believe that. My house has been crazy busy (not that you aren't) and this whole work thing is getting in the way of my social life. Also, Tucker is possibly the worst teether known to man. He has been sleeping like a newborn....which means up every couple hours screaming with his eyes closed. I don't get it? Isn't this baby almost one? Surely its a phase and will end soon.

I am having problems planning his FUN 1st birthday when he is NOT being so fun at night! But I am still planning it and it will be fantastic. We are having a round-up November 6th at the ranch! All cowboy attire must be worn and it will be a hay day!!! Still can't believe that is 4 weeks away...still can't believe I almost have a one year old.

Here is his invite!!! Cute Cute.....
I know what ya'll are thinking....did u make this? NO. I have zero time to be crafty. zero! sorry to disappoint. His party will be fabulous but let me tell you its mainly because I bought fabulous things. I have been buying a lot of Tucker's adorable decor and clothing for his bday party from Etsy this last week(invite was from ETSY).

In other news, (like there is other news besides Tucker and his needs) I will need prayers for my niece on Monday the 18th. Kailee is having surgery that day and all the prayers are welcomed! She is a strong little 5 year old but we are all nervous!!!!

Kailee and Tucker roasting at the SEMO Fair!!!!

Check in later taters!

1st baby...... part 2

Remember the 1st baby story....well there is more. Lots more actually but most of it is NOT blog appropriate.

-You will have your baby and realize you still look pregnant. You will go home looking pregnant, when people come to visit you will look pregnant. Heck your baby will be 3 months and you will still look pregnant. And if you are lucky like me, you baby will be crawling and you STILL look pregnant. Don't stress about looking pregnant when you come home. Just dress comfortable and dont' worry about how fat you look, because it happens.

-Your bladder is never the same. Ever! That baby has ruined it forever. Remember when you could hold off from using the bathroom....or wait to "break the seal". Those days are over. You can't pop the top on your beer (or soda) and not have to pee.

-Working makes you feel guilty. You feel like you are abanding your child. ( I hear it gets better with every child after your first)

-Running into Target is no longer "running in to Target".First you park, get the stroller or target cart. Unbuckle baby and transport him/her to stroller cart. Get the diaper bag. Realize the baby has wet threw or thrown up on his/her clothes. Get baby outta the stroller/cart and change her in the front seat. Get the diaper bag back in the car that you just put in the stroller/cart. Change the baby. Load her/him back into stroller/cart. Get the diaper bag. look for 5 minutes for your keys because once you loaded the baby twice you have misplaced them. The baby is now screaming in the parking lot. You lock your car and walk away only to realize you don't have your purse. Now you dig for your keys in the bottom of the diaper bag to walk back and unlock your doors and get your purse. You are finally ready and get to Target....now the baby is hungry!

-Pictures, cameras and baby clothes will brake you. Yep your shoes are soooo last season but you NO longer care.

-You feel guilty for having adult time. And you feel guilty for having a hangover and being with your baby the next day. And nobody wants a hangover with "WonderPets" blaring in the back ground and smelling ravioli out of the can for lunch. Its horrible!

The 1st baby will steal your soul and take away your breath. They will make your heart hurt by how much you love them. Even if all the above are VERY true

Busy Bees

The weather in Missouri is finally beautiful!!!! High 70s during the day and 50s at night. We are soaking up this weather at the D house and full of energy for some reason.
I have already made Chili:)
I have got all my fall decor out and my house is lively again.
I have switched out all summer/winter clothes.
I am selling ebay items (about 30) and this is a first time for me. Its time consuming..I had no idea. But hopefully I will get some good prices for some of Tucker's clothing.
I have started planning Tucker's bday in my head ....6 weeks away. I CAN NOT believe it really and need to start ordering some supplies
I have bought things for a scapbook of Tuckers first year that I need to get busy on. I mean I am only 10 months behind right. I am excited to start it though.
I have been organizing, laundrey, cleaning...just full of energy!!! (which never happens)
We have 3 wedding, pumpkin patch time, a surgery and Halloween in October so there is NO time for anything else...hense while I have been doing things.

Speaking of weddings..I have had the hardest time finding clothing appropiate and in my "age"bracket. Where do you ladies shop.

So sorry for the lack of post, there is another "mom" post coming shortly but after looking at the list I just typed you all understand why there is no fab blog post right?

The first baby.....

Since Tucker is growing at rapid speed and even though I dont' want to admit it, he will be turning 1 soon. I have been thinking. Thinking back to the times when he was a wee little boy. I know a lot of people that are excpecting their first babies soon, I get a lot of questions, I ask a lot of questions and I thought with all this knowledge (or luck) I need to post an HONEST post about your first baby.

You are always told that a baby will steal your heart and soul. I said "of course they will, duh..I know that!" I HAD no freakin idea. You dont' know. You have no clue how much you can love until you meet that baby.

People told me, that baby will be your pride and joy from the first minute you meet him/her. Well, sometimes it takes a day, week or month to bond. Honestly. When you bring the baby home and him/her dont' sleep at night, you have no clue what to do, your boobs are leaking everywhere, your house smells of B.O (from lack of showers) and crappy diapers, your hormones are crazy....sometimes it takes a little while to bond. So if you don't feel an instant bond, it will happen eventually. Its ok to freak out because lets face, you have no clue what the hell you are doing!!!!!

Your first adventure out will be a nightmare. We ventured out to eat one time and I had this giant diaper bag packed with diapers, wipes, water, bottles, paci's, toys .....ummm..NO formula!!!! You are beginning..it will happen

Your sister, brother, friends and etc. "might" drive you nuts. Whether its advise they pour on you or wanting to come over and "help"...more than likely you will want to slap all of them.

You husband will be on the back burner and EVEN though they are grown men they can't handle being on the back burner. They are babies and want attention and will make you even more crazy. Just threaten them.....

You will need your mom around. You will want her around. She is the only one (well I had a SIL that I wanted around too) that can actually help and you wont want to slap. She knows, she has done it and more than likely you will do it like she did.

You are scared to death at delievery time and can't enjoy the moment! You wont enjoy it most of it...you are scared.

You might cry a lot. You will cry because of happiness (I got lucky and this was the only time I cried) or outta sadness. Just cry, who cares who watches. And again threathen your husband if he looks at you weird

If you have animals, I hate to say, they were your babies first. yeh I know...but now you barely remember to put out their food. Sorry..they too are on the back burner and soon will be "just the dog"!

I was thinking all these thoughts and laughed to myself last night. I then got VERY excited about a baby in the future. I can't wait to experience it and actually know what the hell is going on with me. I am prepared now. I can enjoy it the second time around. Its sad but your first baby is an experience. Its a trial. They dont mind, they dont even know. But now I know....know I can prepare better "when" we want another baby.

So prepare to not know what the hell is going on. Its ok, you will learn I did. I am serious....its ok, you will be clueless to a lot of things. so if you saw me at an outting when I was a new mom and I said everything was going GREAT. I lied I am sure. I mean I was excited and I loved it alll.....but I was new and scared! So when moms say now to me "its great"..my response is its ok to be scared, and then they start asking questions and I feel like I have let them open up!!!
